You have photos in our club that are no longer in your gallery. Would you like us to keep them or remove them? You recieved a critique on your clouds photo

At a first glance, some might say that this sunset photo is no good because much of the sunset is hidden behind the bushes. However, I would disagree. This makes this photo much more interesting, and adds something in the photo besides just the sky which makes a sunset photo easily forgotten.

The sunset itself is a good one. Which is why I think more of it should be seen. The clouds definitely deserve to be seen much as possible in this photo. Less black ground in this photo and more sky would help this or maybe a slightly different location with a little less trees/bushes so we can see a bit more the sunset. I definitely wouldn’t find a spot without any at all. As I said they definitely add character and interest. This photo was caught at exactly the right time, which is the ultimate key to great sunset photos. The amount of color is good, however in some places it feels a bit over saturated especially the oranges and reds.

Overall, I would have to say there are many great elements present in this photo but a bit of polishing would make them really come together, such as a little work on composition and saturation/contrast. I really do love having some branches in the foreground, and it makes me rethink my views that they only get in the way!
